A Promise
Anger thaws my frozen eyes,
casting light like raging flames;
illuminates my shaking nerves
but cowardly I pass the blame.
The trees, the creatures underfoot,
sea and sky become my aim.
Nothing rests upon my head;
my failure's not my shame.
casting light like raging flames;
illuminates my shaking nerves
but cowardly I pass the blame.
The trees, the creatures underfoot,
sea and sky become my aim.
Nothing rests upon my head;
my failure's not my shame.
