Illumination

Today the sun shone in my eye
with nothing there to block its gaze
no cloud admidst the bright blue sky;
today the sun shone in my eye
I don't remember how or why
but something cleared my inner haze
today the sun shone in my eye
and nothing stayed its awful gaze.
